    Join the Greater Philadelphia Federal Tax Committee for a program featuring IRS Senior Stakeholder Liaison, Richard Furlong, and an expert panel of tax practitioners.

Highlights:

  • Richard Furlong will discuss changes tax practitioners can expect from the IRS for the 2014 tax season and the IRS’ perspective on “hot topics.” Before the Q&A, Richard will cover late breaking developments, current federal issues and initiatives, new IRS resources, online tools, etc.

    • Trends in IRS-practitioner relations
  • Furlong will be assisted during the Q&A section by a panel of CPA’s from our Greater Philadelphia Chapter Federal Tax Committee. The CPA panel will provide a one-hour update to federal topics like ACA, Repair regulations, IRC Sec. 7216 changes, Circular 230, and PA changes (Acts 52 & 71).

    • FROM WESTERN SUBURBS: Take the Blue Route (#476 North) toward Plymouth Meeting. Stay to the left and follow signs to Philadelphia-Turnpike and East to get onto the Turnpike. Take Exit 343-Willow Grove (North) and follow directions “FROM TURNPIKE”
    • FROM NEW YORK & NORTH JERSEY: Take NJ Turnpike (South) to Exit 6. Follow PA Turnpike to Exit 351. Follow Route 1 (South) to Street Road (#132 West). Follow Street Road for 10 mi. to Jacksonville Road (#332) turn right and proceed 1.7 mi. to Spring Mill Manor on the left.

Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber – 3rd Annual Nonprofit Conference

The Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber's third annual Nonprofit Conference has something for everyone, not just nonprofit organizations.  Topics this year can apply to professionals that work in any field.

This year's conference will include a panel discussion on collaboration featuring Judy Eakin, Executive Director of HEARTH,  Grace Coleman, Executive Director at Crisis Center North and Fay Morgan, President and CEO at Passavant Hospital Foundation. Morning breakout sessions include Karen Rath of Huntington Bank speaking on strategic planning and Paul Harris and Debbie Walker from Alcoa discussing securing corporate grant funding and improving corporate collaborations.  Afternoon breakout sessions include creative fundraising, presented by Bri Cole of  Junior Achievement of Northern California and social media marketing.  The conference also features a tradeshow and networking lunch. "The Nonprofit Conference is designed to help nonprofits within our regional business footprint to maximize their presence in the community, initiate strategic partnerships and grow funding," said Becky Morella, Past Board of Directors Chair. Business leaders at the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber are committed to helping regional nonprofit organizations thrive and achieve their missions.
