“The system that Bookminders uses works really well.  We consistently get our financial information on a timely basis.”

FISA Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations in Southwestern Pennsylvania that improve the lives of women, girls, and people with disabilities.

The Foundation became a client of Bookminders in 1996 when Harmarville Rehabilitation Center, a nonprofit, was sold to a for-profit company.  FISA received the proceeds from the sale and established the foundation.  There were many new challenges to work through at that time but knowing that Bookminders was managing the accounting relieved the newly organized Foundation of one less concern.

Executive Director, Kristy Trautman, appreciates Bookminders’ customer service.  “The  system that Bookminders uses works really well.  We consistently get our financial information on a timely basis.  Our bookminder is professional, knowledgeable, and reliable.  Whenever we have a question, we always get a prompt answer.”

The recurring visits that take place at the same day and time each week is a comfort to Kristy.  “I appreciate the consistency.  It’s nice to have one person who really knows our systems, who we get to know and rely on.  It really helps a lot.”

The board and the executive director rely on the reports prepared by Bookminders.  “I appreciate that our bookminder provides regular monthly and weekly reports that are always accurate and on-time.  When we’ve occasionally asked to modify a report, the format changes have been made promptly, with no hassle.”

An executive director’s biggest concern each year is the audit.  Kristy feels that “At year end, we always have everything we need for our audit.  The audits have gone very smoothly.”
