“Flexibility was my first priority in coming to work for Bookminders.  I was a mother with little kids and I wanted to work from home.  I appreciated the flexibility that Bookminders offered me.”

Gretchen has adjusted her schedule over the years to accommodate changes in her home life.  “Flexibility was my first priority in coming to work for Bookminders.  I was a mother with little kids and I wanted to work from home.  I appreciated the flexibility that Bookminders offered me.”

Gretchen’s children are teenagers now and she is able to spend more time enjoying other activities like playing volleyball.  “Over the years, Bookminders was able to add to or take from my number of clients depending on what I could handle at the time.  And, it was great to be able to set my own weekly schedule.”

For Gretchen, she feels that she has not only maintained but grown her accounting skills while working at Bookminders.  “I love being able to solve problems for a whole variety of different clients.  I really enjoy the challenge.  I’ve gained a lot of experience in different types of accounting.  And the clients are very appreciative of the job I do.”

Gretchen received her BS in Accounting from the University of Central Florida in 1983.  She was an accountant in the real estate and construction industries for nine years and then took time off from her professional career to stay home with her children before joining Bookminders in 1999.
