I believe enjoying the people you work with is essential, and Bookminders has provided me with a supportive and collaborative environment that I truly appreciate. Our management team consists of smart and approachable individuals who genuinely care about us as individuals.
The flexibility offered here is a major reason I chose to join the company and why I have continued to enjoy working at Bookminders as my life has evolved. Starting out part-time while my two youngest children were in kindergarten allowed me to strike a perfect balance between work and family life. Back then I worked around 15 hours a week and never had to miss a school activity, play, field trip or sporting event. I even served as a homeroom mom for my children’s classes, all while growing my accounting skills and enjoying meaningful work.
As my children grew, I was able to scale my workload in a way that permitted me to grow professionally and interact with my peers while still being actively involved in my children’s lives. Becoming a Team Advisor in 2023 allowed me to take that a step further, sharing my expertise more directly with new staff while contributing to the growth and development of the entire Bookminders team. It’s rewarding to see new coworkers discover how Bookminders allows us to pursue all the things we want to do both personally and professionally. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is something often sought but seldom realized at most companies – I’m proud to work for a company that more than delivers!
Jeanine hails from North Huntingdon and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1988 with a BS in Accounting. Later, she earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Robert Morris University. She boasts a rich background in corporate accounting, beginning her career as a payroll accountant and advancing to roles in revenue accounting and financial reporting. Joining Bookminders in 2010, Jeanine became a Senior Accountant in 2013 and assumed the role of Team Advisor in 2023.
