On November 14, 2025, the Brave Women Project hosted its third annual Pillar Awards at Rivers Casino, bringing together influential leaders, advocates, and changemakers to celebrate women who exemplify courage, leadership, and commitment to creating positive change. The afternoon was filled with warmth and camaraderie as supporters, colleagues, and friends gathered to honor women whose courage and leadership are transforming their communities
The Pillar Awards honor women who embody the organization’s 5 Es for Life: Educate, Empower, Encourage, Engage, and Evolve. Each award recognizes individuals whose actions inspire others to lead with intention and bravery, creating ripples of impact throughout their communities and beyond.
This year’s event showcased remarkable women across all five categories—The Teacher, The Advocate, The Cheerleader, The Connector, and The Changemaker—each representing a pillar of the Brave Women Project’s mission. As the organization continues to expand its reach and influence, the Pillar Awards serve as a powerful reminder that every act of courage, big or small, creates lasting change.
Bookminders was proud to support this inspiring celebration, with two team members earning nominations for their exceptional contributions. Maria Holtz, Director of Training and Development, was nominated in the Educate category, while Jennifer Krebs, Project Manager, was nominated in the Empower category. Their recognition reflects the dedication, expertise, and positive impact they bring to Bookminders and the communities they serve.
Maria Holtz has been a cornerstone of Bookminders’ success since joining the company in 1996. As Director of Training and Development, she has designed the systems and resources that have supported the firm’s national growth and reputation for excellence.
