I really enjoy the diversity of my Bookminders portfolio. Having a variety of non-profit and for-profit clients keeps the work interesting and challenging. Fulfilling the accounting needs for clients in a variety of industries has increased my confidence and allowed me to grow as a professional.

At Bookminders, I have been challenged and supported in a way that allowed me to move beyond my comfort zone and expand my accounting expertise. I have always been able to rely on the managers at Bookminders to provide the resources and guidance needed to solve client issues independently. If a situation occurs that I can’t readily address on my own, one of our managers is just a quick phone call or email away!

The flexibility I have with Bookminders is great. Knowing I can modify my schedule and client load as life’s various challenges arise makes managing family life far less stressful. Working at Bookminders means I can succeed professionally without compromising my family commitments.

Maura was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA.  She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her BS in Accounting.  Maura worked as a bank auditor and then in corporate accounting until the birth of her first child. When her youngest was in kindergarten, she returned to the workforce as a bookkeeper for a small construction company.  Maura joined the Bookminders team in 2016 and was named a Team Advisor in 2023.
