Job Responsibilities

Manage financial data for governmental entities, complex business, or non-profit clients using accounting software.

Business Clients – time and expense billing, automated reconciliation of cash, merchant and point-of-sale, job costing and expense allocations

Non-Profit Clients – track grants, programs, donations, restricted funds and comprehensive Board reporting

Apply accounting standards when recording transactions and reconciling accounts

Prepare accurate, professional and meaningful client financial reporting including a year-end package

Track and report client billing information in a timely, accurate and consistent manner

Build and maintain positive working relationships with assigned clients

Job Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; accounting or business-related degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of accounting or finance experience required
  • Experience with general ledger accounting software required; QuickBooks preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication and computer skills required
  • Ability to work independently with precision and strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to following Bookminders’ established standards and procedures
Work Environment & Tools
  • Separate, dedicated home office space required
  • Computer capable of accessing online software
  • High-speed internet connection, reliable transportation, and mobile phone required
Location & Availability
  • Ability to attend orientation and occasional training/meetings at our offices
  • Ability to attend client meetings (weekly or monthly) and trainings during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm EST) required
  • Fully remote applicants must reside in the contiguous United States
  • Applicants in our market must reside within 45 miles of a local Bookminders office
