Amanda Hines Spotlight

After working for over a decade as a CPA & CMA with 3M in Minnesota, Amanda took some time off to start a family. In 2014 the family relocated to Philadelphia, and she was ready to re-enter the workforce but required flexibility to stay actively involved in her children’s lives and the community. “Accepting an accounting position with Bookminders provided the perfect balance,“ she recalls. “For the first time, I had the freedom to shape my workload based on my family’s needs.”

Over the years, Amanda’s role with Bookminders evolved, allowing her to take on more responsibilities without making personal sacrifices, irrespective of changes in her personal life. Amanda continued to feel valued by Bookminders and had no disruption in her client portfolio after moving from Philadelphia to Indiana in 2019. Her commitment and expertise led her to a position as a Project Manager and then Team Advisor for the Austin and Indianapolis teams. Amanda enjoys meeting new clients and tailoring Bookminders solutions to their specific needs. “The challenge of solving problems and creating new systems that make accounting processes easier and more efficient for our clients is something I love,” she says. “And being a mentor is really rewarding, it feels great to see my colleagues grow in their expertise and confidence.”

Reflecting on her work journey, Amanda appreciates Bookminders’ commitment to its employees as well as the vast array of resources that enable her to deliver top-notch service to her clients. “Having a company that puts employees first is not the norm. With Bookminders, I’ve been able to expand my own horizons without swapping employers. I know I’m valued for my expertise and individuality, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see my work make a difference in my clients’ organizations. I look forward to bringing that same level of dedication and value to the non-profit and small business communities in Indianapolis, expanding Bookminders’ positive impact in the region.”
